Volunteerism has long been the backbone of successful Catholic Elementary Schools. The benefits to the school community and the positive effect volunteering has on your child is well documented. Blessed Sacrament School provides a wide array of opportunities for parents to become involved and most require as little as a few hours at a time, once or twice a year. Just this past year, the School PTO has organized a yard sale, the Halloween Howl, Cookies with Santa, a Spelling Bee, two Scholastic Book Fairs, the Spooktacular Food Drive to benefit the Rhode Island Food Bank, an ice cream social, and an end of year Field Day. Proceeds are always used to enhance the academic experiences for our students. Field trips, special presentations and after school clubs are just a few examples of how the PTO fundraisers support our mission.
So, please consider giving some of your time and or treasure to support the education of your student. Before you can participate, all volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training and read the Diocesan Sexual Misconduct extract policy.
