6th Grade
Social Studies: We are finishing up our study of Ancient Egypt and will be going on to Ancient Greece.
Students in grade 6 are learning about metric units of length, mass, and capacity. They are also learning to change metric units. We will begin our study of geometry soon.
Reading/LA- We are off to a good start with our new reading program. The children really seem to be enjoying it. We hope you enjoyed your letters from the children. Watch for more amazing writing!
Grade 6 Science- We have completed our volcanoes unit. Next, we will be studying rocks, weathering, erosion, and soil formation.
Religion – We have one chapter left before the Unit 2 assessment. The assessment is on chapters 8 through 14.
The Family Life Program will begin after the Unit 2 assessment.

Spanish – We are finishing Chapter 1.The students will take
an assessment of the chapter before we move on to the next chapter. There is a page at the end of each chapter to help them review the vocabulary called,”Resumen del capitulo”
The theme for the next chapter is: “SCHOOL”. All the objectives that we will cover will have something to do with school. For example, school supplies, and subjects.
