READING, LITERATURE & LANGUAGE ARTS
The main purposes and objectives of the Reading/Literature subject area are to empower students with strong skills in order to become fluent readers, effective writers, attentive listeners, and confident speakers.
The purpose of the Language Arts program is to challenge students to express themselves more proficiently through vocabulary expansion, utilizing the rules of written language and thinking in the analytical manner towards written and spoken language.
In order to ensure successful instruction, we consider each student’s developmental stage, learning style, and level of ability when planning and preparing the program. We utilize assignments that allow children to use different intelligences, and we vary teaching methods and strategies in order to achieve specific program objectives.
